The New York City Ice Ball At Bryant Park

Every winter there’s this strange but classy event that occurs at the Bryant Park ice skating rink. It’s called the New York City Ice Ball. Men wear tuxedos, women wear ballgowns, and they dance the Viennese Waltz in their ice skates. It’s open to anyone, but the trick is having an “in” within the New York City ball crowd to know when it’s going to happen.

Santacon NYC – So Many Santas

Santacon NYC – From the East Village to Midtown, drunk Santas descend on the city one Saturday in December. Everyone who participates gets in their full Santa suite gear and drinks from 11am – 8pm. The rest of the city braces themselves hoping it ends as quickly as it started. And I was there for it all.

The Annual Scandinavian Society Christmas Ball | NYC

It’s a crazy statement to say in the 21st century that I’ve been to enough balls to have a favorite ball among all the NYC balls. The Scandinavian Christmas Ball is held every year to mark the beginning of the Christmas season and is absolutely in my top three list of must-do balls. It’s festive, it’s fun, and it’s in a beautiful 19th century mansion, the Metropolitan Club.
